Hoping for acceptance into University of North Georgia's BSN programin Fall 2015

Published

I recently applied for the Fall 2015 BSN program at UNG in Dahlonega and was wondering if anyone could ease my mind. I know I'll have to wait a few months to find out if I am accepted and the wait is driving me crazy. Do I have a good chance with a GPA of 3.2 and a HESI score of 96%?

OMMGGG...I applied there too..but I also heard that they are opening one in Gainesville campus (nursing program)..Do you know what is the chances of getting in? I have the same gpa as you, but I m taking my TEAS V in January!!

I applied to both campuses but the Gainesville campus won't start until Spring 2016 so I'm really hoping I get into Dahlonega to start sooner. I've heard that they are accepting 60 students into Gainesville and 160 into Dahlonega. Which campus are you wanting to go to?

Most likely Gainesville, but I think i will apply to Dahlonega one too just in case I dont get in at Gainesville one.

I have applied there too! Currently at KSU, but UNG is my first choice :) I'm extremely nervous as well. My GPA is not the best, 3.15, but I scored a 94.7 on the TEAS V so hopefully that will work in my favor. Good luck to you guys!

That's a great TEAS score! Best of luck to you! Do you know when we'll hear back from them?

Thanks, your HESI score is fantastic as well! I'm not too sure, but last year's class (on another thread) started hearing back in the beginning of March so I would expect a similar timeline :)

I've applied there also. I called and asked to apply to the Gainesville cohort for 2016. I also asked if I did get accepted into Gainesville but if they did not have room for me if they would accommodate me in Dahlonega, they said yes. Those are excellent scores in the HESI A2 and TEAS V. I only scored an 84 on the HESI A2 exam. But hopefully my 3.6 GPA will compensate for the score I got in the HESI A2 exam. Good luck everyone!

Did you guys get the email about BSN applicant advisement? Not sure if it means anything...still anxiously waiting for mid March to find out :/

I don't think it means anything. It's probably just an information session.

That's what I figured. I called the nursing department to confirm, and they said they are trying to get decisions out before advisement so we should expect something the first week of March.

Check your emails!!!! I got accepted! So over the moon!
