hi, i just recently graduated and took a week long kaplan class, and im not real sure if it works. i did much better on the diagnostic test than the readiness test. i was wondering if anyone that has already taken nclex and did kaplan (or did not) did it help? honestly...
I did better on my diagnostic test than the readiness with Kaplan. I took my test on July 14th and failedwith 265 questions and my anxiety was so high. The questions on the NCLEX were almost the same as Kaplan with a lil more twist. I was devasted none the less I felt like an idiot. I understand your concern and if there is anyone out there than can give some insight it is greatly appreciated. I dont want to fail a second time and I know that Kaplan will reimburse 100% as long as you do the requirments, so I do qualify. Does anyone know about the learningext.com through NCSBN? I fell upon the website and looks great but I dont want to waste anymore money than I have to. I'm scared and nervous and my emotions are all over the place but I'm actually better today.
Any advise?

I am soo sorry that you failed and 1st off, stop feeling like an idiot. You got thru the hard part which is nursing school. I took kaplan, this is how I study. I created my nclex book and I would write down the important parts of the question. for example who would the nurse see 1st, who would you assign a task to or if the question had s/s of a problem. I would write it down and study it. I constantly did questions and read every rationale. Also, I did saunders 4th edition. That book is excellent and unlike saunders it had a good pharm section. Also, what might be helpful is to practice some relaxation exercises. Having anxiety durning a test can be harmful. I am here for support and questions. You can always send me a private message if you need further support or if you have questions. Good luck
