So I have a meeting tomorrow at Hondros College of Nursing.. I'm super nervous and have been getting mixed reviews. Any thoughts on this school and/or program??

Everyone I've spoken to who has gone to Hondros says that it's horrible. It's expensive, unorganized, the teachers are incompetent, etc. My friend goes there. She failed a class last quarter then failed another class this quarter. She was supposed to graduate in September and now she won't be able to until March. Two years to get an LPN program, spending a ridiculous amount each quarter? Doesn't sound fun to me. You will find many Hondros advocates but for-profit schools are generally a no-no.

OP:
I'm not sure of what the devil this Hondros is, sounds like a cross between a John Wayne movie and an island in the Bahamas, but really just it's name gives me a creepy feeling.
But listen to the content of your own words. You could not have painted a bleeker discription of the place if your name were Edgar Allen Poe.
As far as those who tell you it's great, well anyone in tons of debt who eeked through will tell you that. It's a form of ego salvage for them personally making a bad decision.
I never cease to be amazed at the propensity some humans exhibit in justifying a bad choice by bringing someone else to hell with them. It might have something to do with misery loves company or just that the human race is full of weasels; maybe both.
Here's a suggestion that might help you. Since you already have a job, parlay that into financing a bright shiny new AD at a community college. The last thing you or anyone needs is to get all loaned up. That approach makes it too easy for the shysters to screw over your life.
Always go to nursing school on the cheap. If you pay too much it's not worth it and for-profit schools pride themselves on expensive mediocre products yielding poor outcomes for the vast majority of students.
To validate this contention, just look at the number one and number two largest for-profit schools in the U.S. the University of Phoenix and Education Management owned South University at (collegescorecard.ed.gov) to see that their graduation and retention rates virtually define them as "loan mills."
You see, if you claim to be an educational asset to society you have to have statistics in black and white that underscore that contention.
So when someone tells you XYZ college is a "good" school despite their bad statistics, well, tell them "that's not 'good' enough, thank you for your opinion" and walk the righteous walk to a better decision that's right for you.

Lundenmeekel,
How did you like the school when you went and which one did you go too? I'm researching the school now and want to start in 2017 also.
I will be at the Toledo/Maumee. Everyone that I've met so far was really nice.
So the one in Toledo started its Lpn - RN program?
First class starts in april
I just reLized you are going for your LPN! My apologies thought RN
No. I am already an LPN. I am starting their LPN to RN in October
