Considering a job as a Home PD Nurse.. my exp is HD. What do you guys love and hate about it ? What questions should I be asking in my 2nd interview ? Thanks

I am also curious about home therapy - PD nursing. Have looked at a position for this..looks like it would be a lot like home health as far as needing to be flexible on schedule but no weekends...wondering about the pay...

I love training patients for PD lots of continuity of care, education and support of the patient.
Good follow through after the pt goes home, get to know your patient really well.
Infection control is a huge issue and you have to really drum it into the patient.
Home visits to check home environment, some potential patients actually are unable to do pd if the environment is not suitable.
Organising delivery of supplies, organising vacations and getting supplies delivered to hotels etc. Easier for pts to travel to another country supplies delivered where they want to travel.
You need excellent communication skills as lots of trouble shooting by telephone.
