Home Health RN Salary...didn't know the answer

Published

I interviewed for a HH position yesterday...was asked what I thought the salary should be...this is going to be for an every weekend plus one day during the week schedule. I had no idea what to say. There is no call involved with this position - they have on call nurses already. Mileage is also paid even tho' this is salary. I do not need benefits - which I told him - so I'm hoping that increases the salary if I'm offered the position. Anyone have any idea? This is a company in the southeast

You should always research salaries before job hunting.

I did..this is for a position that I could find nothing on..I found info. on case managers, PRN, Field Nurses, etc. but not anything for every weekend plus one.

Seems to me I would add a percentage to one of their hourly rates as an incentive for the inconvenence. You would find out soon enough if they think your requested rate is too high.

Specializes in COS-C, Risk Management.

Search for "Baylor nurse," as that is the position you are describing. Starting salary in our area (northeast FL) is around $60K for full time.
