I'm the director of a HH agency that is fervently searching for the best software program... does anyone have experience with Homecare Homebase? Does the small screen pose a problem? Any comments on any other systems? McKesson? Delta? Mysis? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

Four years after implimentation of McKesson, we are really seeing the payoff of this system. I can obtain 90% patients records at touch of 2--3 screens: some PT and one new branch still yet to impliment. We average 1,500 admits/month. Decreased office staff needed for typing/sending Plan of treatments and verbal orders, 1 medical records clerk able to tame paper trail per branch. Electonic Billing and finances improved as can get real time data. Our nursing staff voted last year to go to larger computer screen for decreased eye strain. Biggest payoff is improved cohesive patient care between staff caring for pts with visit per episode average 15-16. National stats I saw yesterday in home health line was 27 visits/per episode. Agency named to Homecare Elite as in top 25% clinical outcome indicators. Can put you in touch with our Sr Mgmt who looked at all three systems you mentioned...just PM me.

I am working with August Systems which is built around a sheduling program that helps tremendously with keeping orders and visits in compliance. Check out their website at http://www.august-systems.com/ , if you like what you see, tell them their favorite Houston nurse referred you.
