Are any of the amedisys Home Health Care agencies any good to work for? Especially if they are small?
Thanks
~Willow
I am frustrated with the situation I am in. I am working my rear end off. They just cut our office time pay but increased our per visit pay. I drive 600 to 1000 miles a week which makes some days look horrible as to number of visits. There is one girl in the office trying her best to make me look bad all the time. It is really irritating. I keep looking for a solution but can't find one. That is why I asked. This girl even yelled at me on the phone in front of a patient and they did not even check it out.

I suggest you start looking for another employer, preferably one that is not Amedisys. As with any agency, any particular office, at any particular point in time, can be either "good" or "bad", depending upon the behavior of the persons working there. In general, Amedisys does not enjoy a positive reputation.
I work for Interim and I have an interview with Amedisys; just don't want to leave the frying pan for the fire. I feel that girl at work is never going to let up. They think the sun rises and sets with her.

I've often wondered how toxic employees have a tendency to have fair hair around the people in charge. Management also has the power to bestow their favors on good, positive employees but they seldom seem to go that route.

Trust me, from Interim to Amedisys is frying pan to fire. Trust me.
Look for a mom-and-pop or hospital-based home health agency.
Or move down to Florida, I need a full time nurse on my team. I won't let anyone be mean to you. ;-)

I have found mom and pop to be the absolute worst agencies to work for. They close frequently and the paychecks can bounce sky high not to mention lots of problems getting referrals, following rules and staying in business.
