Where/when do you take off your shoes after leaving work and reaching your home? Does it seem your entryway is contaminated?

A mudroom is like a utility room. My washer and dryer are in my mudroom, along with a sink and shelving. I think this must be a southern term!

It's a hick Canadian term too, my mudroom has stairs walking out to the garage, a huge closet and a utility sink. It is simply unheard of to not have a mudroom if you live in the Valley!

As for the topic of walking indoors with shoes on... that is so totally gross no matter what the reason and I'm disgusted to go into people's home who do this. Barf.
