Any one applied for class of 2018? Hear anything yet? I was contacted last week because one of the instructors had questions about my app, it seemed to be a positive convo but wondering when I will hear next.

Anyone?

No one? Bueller? No one applied to this program for Fall 2016?

nursing school for LPN to RN program wanted to attend by Fall 2016 without wait list does it exists in Philadelphia, Pa or surrounding area?

Help me, I 'm presently in a College that very costly.

Hi! I am waiting to hear back from as well. I got accepted to Bergen Community's RN program, but I'd rather go here. Waiting for a call so I can interview. 4.0 GPA / 82% TEAS-V Score.

Hi! I actually found out thurs that I was accepted! Please let me know if you will be in my class this August! Good luck!

That is so awesome! Congratulations! I will let you know if I get accepted too!

How was the interview process? Any tips? What kind of questions did they ask?

I actually didnt have an interview, I was just accepted. So I dont know if they changed their process, or if they only interview maybes to help make a definite decision, or what. Someone did call me to ask a quick question about my application, so maybe that counted as my interview? I'm not sure.

During the phone call, she just asked me if I had taken anymore classes since starting my app (I originally applied in 2014, but never took the TEAS and finished the app. I decided this year to take the TEAS and finish my app to see if they would admit me.) So she only asked about that, and told me what classes I would have to take. She also asked me if I intended to work during the program ( i assume because I am an adult student with a child) and told me the school prefers students not to work over 20 hrs per week.

That was it!! Maybe they counted that as an interview, but I did not have to physically go to campus to talk to anyone.

Keep me updated! Hopefully you will hear soon. I know I was told my acceptance letter was on her desk thurs when I emailed her. She told me via email I was accepted and emailed me the letter, but said she also was putting a physical copy in the mail. So with the holiday weekend and all, I assume most people will start hearing this week.

Crossing fingers for you!

I just got my acceptance email! YAY!

I assumed we had to interview only because when a friend of mine went to their open house last month they mentioned it. I am really thrilled, I was getting worried because I hadn't heard from them since I turned in my application about 3 weeks ago. Now I am just waiting for the mailed copy, which I am sure I will get soon. I also applied in 2014, but never completed the app nor did I take the Teas. I also didn't have any college experience. So I went to Bergen to do as many prerequisites as I could before I applied.

I am so very excited! I honestly cannot wait for school to start! =D

Oh yay, congrats!!! I cant wait either. Im excited to start. Happy to hear that we'll be classmates.

Have you finished many prereqs? Ive only completed psych, sociology, and eng comp.

Thank you, I am very excited! What is your name? I'm Sana.

I finished almost all the prerequisites:

Anatomy & Physiology 1

Anatomy & Physiology 2

Intro to Psychology

English Composition

Microbiology (In progress)

Life Span Development

Intro to Sociology

Intro to Philosophy

Intro to Visual Arts

I believe now I just need all the nursing clinical classes and the Contemporary Issues in Bioethics class (8 more classes I believe). I primarily did most the prereqs to save on money, BCC is much cheaper per class when compared to Holy Name.

Hi Sana, I'm Daniella. Nice to meet you!

I'm super jealous youve gotten all of those out of the way. i wish Id had the foresight or time to do the same, i just felt like with my age (im 36, this is a career change for me) i wanted to start nursing asap.

i guess three classes are better than none!

Hi Daniella!

I wish I was in your shoes and started sooner to be honest. Before I knew about Holy Name's RN program, I was trying to get into BCC's RN program. BCC prefers that students have all their prereqs completed before starting their nursing program because it's so intense. But I wish I knew about Holy Name, I would've applied last year when I had 2-3 classes completed.

I feel you in the career change. I was in retail management for several years and I just really began to hate my job. I was out of school for nearly 7 years before I went back. It's rough changing careers as an adult, more so if you have a family that depends on you.

Hope to see you at orientation! =)
