Hey everyone, just as a general timeline to give you a rough estimate on the process...I sent my application with all pre-reqs complete on 11/22, interviewed on 1/9, and was emailed my acceptance on 1/13. So almost 2 months total. And my dashboard never changed until after I was accepted so everyday I was anxiously checking it to no avail ?

My dashboard did not change either. After I received the acceptance email I had to call admissions to get them to change the dashboard so I could accept the offer.

Has anyone seen their grading system? Seems very intense, an 80 is considered a straight C.
I seen a 77 is needed to pass.
I found that a average of 77 on all test grades for each course and a grading scale of:
A 94-100
B+ 90-93
B 86-89
C+ 81-85
C 77-80
D+ 73-76
D 70-72
F 70

@hpflRN1388 I'll be attending the info session. My friend is applying for the 22 month program. Figured I could learn more about the program prior to orientation. I've called Marie and she said they are still sorting the details. I guess I'm just a little overeager in planning the next couple of months. Good luck again to all who were accepted.
I feel the same way lol
Looking forward to meeting everyone at the Feb 1st info session. Hopefully we can connect or make a facebook group to stay connected. Good luck everyone.
I attended the November info session, so won't be attending the February one. Just anxiously waiting to find out the orientation date at this point so I can plan vacation ?

Hi All - I also applied to the summer 2020 program. Question for anyone that has taken or knows more in detail about program the following:
1 - I have hard classes are usually Monday through Wednesday. Does anyone know how many hours classes usually are on those days? Is it eight hours, four hours, etc? Are they during the day, night, etc?
2 - If I get accepted, I would be commuting. About 50 mins away from NJ. Does anyone know if any of the clinical are in NJ since on the border or are they all PA based?
3 - I know the program is intense. I have a vacation booked currently and if I get accepted into the program, would cancel it. However, I didn’t know if anyone knew the policy on vacations and the program. Wondering if there is a way for me to shorten the vacation (I.e. from a week to a couple of days) and I miss like a day or two of school.
Thanks!!
Hi @Nooni - best of luck to you! I am waiting to hear back as well.
I've done some deep undercover research ? , have read EVERY HFU message board on this site, read the Nursing Handbook that is posted on HFU Rapid Degree nursing page and I've attended an info session. This is what I can gather:
1. I understand classes will be Mon-Wed, most likely 8-4. There might be a lab one of those days that is 4 hours. The other two days (can even be a weekend) are clinical hours. We would start clinical after the first 8 weeks. A former student blogged her experience and even posted what her schedule was like the first 3 months in the program. I found her blog to be helpful: https://nursevrinds.wordpress.com/
2. I would be a commuter too - i'm 55 miles away! I think clinicals are within a 25 mile radius. I am not sure if NJ is included.
3. You are allowed 1 clinical/lab absence a semester, you are required to make that up. I am unsure what their attendance policy is for actual class days.
I hope this is helpful and best of luck to you!!
