Holy Family University ABSN Fall 2019

I submitted my Holy Family University ABSN application for Fall 2019 and wanted to create a thread to talk to others that have also applied.

I am also convinced that Marie is screening my calls and will deny me because I have called so many times, like 1x every other week.

But when i did call last week she said she is pestering "them" so I assume she may not have the final decision? I just need to know if I have to pay to register for these classes, does not make sense to spend the money if I cannot even do the program that semester, may as well wait until Fall.

Anyone? Anyone? Beuller?

@Kward500 yess I don’t think Marie makes the decisions. It’s the nursing school for sure & they must be really backed up. You’re brave for calling so many times lol I called once and they said my app was under review but that was two weeks ago. I want to call again but I don’t want them to be like k you want an answer right now?? DENIED!

Hi all I just applied for the Fall 2019 full-time program but just got an email with the new Fall part-time option and changed my app to that. I have a question my undergrad degree GPA was not so hot and I did not reach a 3.0, but my prerequisite GPA is over 3.0. I have a couple of years of Healthcare experience and currently work in a clinic setting. I also have really great recommendations from my boss and professor. Do I have a chance of getting in you think?

Aloha fellow stress balls!

i finally got Marie to answer my questions.

1. Apparently the waitlist is LARGE

2. They somehow don’t know where you sit on the waitlist. Which makes no sense to me.

3. I applied to the new program part time and weekends in October anyone else ??

** I honestly switched programs because I was sick of waiting and not knowing and learned the you could potentially get fed into the full time program as late as a week prior to the program start. I did not want to wait around all summer.

I switched programs Thursday. Checked the app tracker Friday and it said pending. And as of this morning it said decision made. So I’m HOPING that’s a good thing !

How is did you all find out you were accepted. Email? Or regular mail?

Does anyone know the cost of attendance? I see the $36k number but is that the rough estimate for the cost of the ENTIRE program? or just 1 year? Would the 20 month option be more expensive?

The program is 34k each semester has $582 fee for the ATI testing, I believe there is a a charge for the first semester. Each credit hour is $576. It’s almost 36k with the extra fee. I am calculating all the other things like books, uniform etc I am paying for so I can give you guys a better understanding of the cost. I am starting in a few weeks. So they have us doing our clearances now.

34k each semester!? Idk if thats 100% the website says The Second Degree Fast Track and Evening/Weekend Track tuition is $36,000 effective July 1, 2019.

$576 a credit hour makes it about $70k?

No the whole thing is 34k. Sorry I meant to say each semester is an additional $582 fee for the ATI. My first semester with the ATI fee is $10,374

The program is only 59 credits. My first semester which is summer I’ll be taking 17 credits... the tuition is 9,792 plus the $582 fee. I have a breakdown of each semester I can try to upload the picture.

Accepted into the 20month Fall option!!!

I called the business office, total program is $36k Roughly
