HK slots

By the time that someone would post here about a cancellation, it will be gone. Calling Pearson-Vue will not help you until you see the slot as open on their website. That is when you call them.

You are going to need to put in the effort just like everyone else here that has tested in Hong Kong. You are going to need to check several times per day, not just once every few days. There are people all over SE Asia that are also trying to get a slot there. So you need to be pro-active. It is not going to just fall into your lap.

If you want to have a slot in HK, you definitely need to check it on your on-line account several times in a day and on your own. Once every other day will not be good enough as even in a day a lot of slots gets canceled and is taken as soon as it opens up. That's how volatile it is for HK. Posting slots will not be fast enough. You really have to find time to check it out on the account and the sched are all in real-time.

Also, think of this way, if someone can see an available slot then that person is finding more time to do what someone else is suppose to do for herself and it would not be fair for that person, whether or not he or she agrees of doing it for someone else and since the calendar in your account is real-time, you stand to get the most updated information available if you do it yourself.

The operator from Pearson-VUE also checks the same calendar but since s/he is busy receiving calls most of the time in any given day and s/he is in-charge of several testing sites and not just HK, asking information on available slots from a particular testing site will be slightly outdated as she cannot possibly check out what has happened in one particular testing site every hour or so. She does not have time to do it and there have been many instances that the operator does not know that a particular date has just suddenly opened up because the last info. she knew was that HK was full for the next 2 mos. or so. Much easier for everyone if the candidate just calls up as soon as she sees an available slot from her account and let the operator know that it has just recently opened up so that she can re-check it and therefore make the appointment.

thank you for your advices. and yes, i do check my pearson acct many times in a day. and i do hope il get a slot in hk. crossing my fingers..... :saint:

i did get one! just now. august 27, 2007! i can't believe my eyes when the date came up before my two eyes, after several times of clicking each and every week. my worries were lessen. now i can focus on my review. thanks for all your help!
