Hiring process at North Shore LIJ

This question is for North Shore LIJ hospitals, specifically the one in Manhasset, NY. How long does it take to hear back from the HR, after the second interview? How long do they usually take for them to do the background investigations, references etc? Thanks for they help. :nurse:

Hey Nursing21RN!!!! That's great news!!!! Congrats, so happy for you.....but I'll be at North Shore University Hospital! It would have been great if we were at the same place but goodluck with orientation, mine begins on the 25th. Take care and keep me posted as to how things go. Once again Congrats :)

Hey! Sorry I didn't get back to you right away! but most of the questions were behavioral questions. They want to know how well do you work under pressure... what type of leadership skills do you have... how well do you work in a group...etc.. head to toe assessment...etc... Good luck!

can anyone help me!? i had an interview with the nurse recruiter and nurse manager last wednesday at NSUH-Manhasset .. how long does it take for them to call me back? the nurse manager said she wants the positions filled fairly quick.. will they call me if they're not going to hire me? :confused:

I was there last Wednesday also and offered a position yesterday. Although I met with HR, nurse manager and then she sent me to the director. Good luck!

i had an interview at Southside hospital (part of nslij health system) and found out i had the job 2 days after interview...acutally one day after, but not "officially" because i noticed the day after that they sent me an email requesting references...so assumed that this was good news..and it was! good luck to you...it took me 1 year to find a job after graduating!!!
