Hiring process at North Shore LIJ

Published

This question is for North Shore LIJ hospitals, specifically the one in Manhasset, NY. How long does it take to hear back from the HR, after the second interview? How long do they usually take for them to do the background investigations, references etc? Thanks for they help. :nurse:

Hi, I'm sorry I can't help you with your question but perhaps you can help me. I have an interview with the North Shore LIJ nurse recuiter and was wondering if you could tell me the type of questions they asked you. The interview is this Thursaday and I'm freaking out!!!! Any tips would be much appreciated, thank you sooo much and I hope you get the job :)

Heyy! I have an interview coming up as well at nslij and was also wondering how was your interview and have you heard from them yet??

RK413... how did your interview go??

Hi Nursing21rn, I had my 1st interview yesterday with the nurse recruiter and today I just got back from my interview with the nurse manager. I think they both went pretty well...even though I was soo nervous. But the interview with the nurse manager was much more laid back. In both they asked many "behavioral questions" mostly related to my clinical rotations, why nursing, what wud you do in this situation etc etc. I don't know when I'll hear back though, I have my fingers crossed :)

Goodluck with your interview!!! If you have any questions feel free to ask me, I'm happy to help :)

Thank you so much! I had my interview as well! and yes, they asked many behavioral questions! I hope everything goes well for the both of us!! Good luck!!

Are You new grads? How did you get interviews there? Do you have a bachelors degree? Thanks :)

Hi JM RN, I'm new grad with a BSN. I applied online and met with the recruiter at a career fair. The very next morning I got a call for an interview. I guess you have to email the nurse recruiter directly to catch his/her attention.

Rk413 thanks so much for the info! Appreciate it :)
