I just wanted to start a post for those who were applying to the next Lpn-RN transition program at HCC. I will be dropping off my application the first week after holiday break. I know I am so last minute, but the hold up has been my LPN employment verification. Anyway, hoping to meet some new faces before we start the RN journey!! :)
Mine also says applicant but get this. I emailed the health sciences email to ask when we would get letters and got this which is not only annoying but also slightly strange to me.
Good afternoon Ms. Simpson,
Thank you for your interest in HCC’s Nursing LPN Summer 2013 Program. We are unable to give you detailed information or status concerning your application at this time. The Health Sciences Admissions Committee will be meeting soon, and then our official response to ALL applicants will be mailed out informing students of their status. We expect our official response to the students that applied to the Nursing Transition (LPN) Summer 2013 Program towards to the beginning - mid of April. No further responses to student inquiries will be made until then.
Thank you for your patience and understanding

I was reading one of the HCC Fall 2013 threads and saw someone post something about having a friend who use to work in the health sciences dept and how they have new people working there. They say it can take up to 12 weeks from Jan 15th deadline, but usually they figure it out before then. Being that there are new staff, it may take the full 12 weeks. I looked on the calender and that would take us to April 9th!!!
I'm going to try MY BEST to not think about it!! lol
I saw it on 2011 i believe, but who knows honestly. I havent seen any other mention of it so they may have stopped that. AND now it shows the class specifically from 9-12 mornings thurs and friday and they've assigned one professor which may have been what they were waiting on. maybe we'd have clinicals in the beginning of the week.hahaha her easiness level is TERRIFYING.

Sharon Henderson is great! She's super nice and fair. She was there when I went to HCC in 2002. Everyone liked her.
I dropped mine off and knocked out all of the stuff we had to do on top of it. I am kind of exhausted by the constantly changing orientation dates-especially when trying to schedule off of work.
I have not done anything, yet. I am going to drop mine off on Thursaday. Did you notice that the orientation date reads: Wed & Thurs April 18 & 19 ....but April 18th and 19th are thurs and Fri. according to my calender. lol Sooooo ...Idk. There isn't a number or email on the letter, either.
