Hi everyone!
I know it's a little early, but is anyone out there applying to HCC's Nursing program starting Spring 2016? I am, and I'm dying for this semester to be over so I can submit my app! Just wanted to start the discussion since no one else has!
Hi guys! I will be applying for Spring 2016, I have already been in nursing school once (through 2 semesters) but not in this state. I unfortunately had to move because of my Husbands military orders. BUT I am hoping that I get in this time. My gpa will be a 3.48 if I make all A's this semester, which is what I am aiming for. I am extremely nervous! Wish you guys the best of luck.

Hi!
Good luck getting A's this semester! What campus/time are you hoping for? What were those 2 semesters of nursing school like? I'm interested to know!
Thank you! I actually do not have a specific preference. Anywhere, any time would be okay for me. And my first semester I had 3 major nursing classes in the summer, it was very difficult. Lots and lots of studying to stay on top of each class. The clinicals were a great experience, I was on an oncology unit! I'm not sure how it is for HCC, but we had to maintain a 74.5 or higher to move on to the next semester. The next semester I had med surg, and made it all the way through until a little over the last month when my husband received his orders. I would stay very prepared and never procrastinate. And form a study group. I always had flashcards on me anywhere I went. Overall, it's stressful and can be a bit overwhelming, but with a lot of hard work and dedication to studying it will definitely pay off.

Okay, well if you get Dale Mabry nights/weekends, TRADE MEEE! LOL. 3 classes in summer?!? Wow! Procrastination is my biggest flaw...I'm gonna have to work on that.
Fine with me lol. I talked to an advisor today, and he told me I had a really good chance. And yes, that was my problem too. I still did good but I know I could have done so much netter if I didn't procrastinate. I am just so ready to turn my application in and see if I get in. It's killing me.
Good luck on your final next week! I have 3, back to back! So I'll have my books glued to my face this weekend! Not too worried about them though. I take the teas test the 11th! Made a 58 my freshman year of college without taking many classes, so I am pretty confident I will score high(er) lol. And yeah I am pretty shocked about that! I wish us all the best of luck though. If we both get in, I look forward to making this journey with you all!
