Hey guys!!

Congrats on making it into the program! I was an Hillsborough Community College nursing student myself and have all the books if anyone needs them! I am finished with school and have my license so I do not need them anymore. I know the bundle through the school is expensive so if anyone is interested let me know!

Congratulations and good luck to you all!

Those that have gotten in, I'm curious if anyone knows if there are any classes you can take to replace the lower grades prereq wise. I'm stuck with a couple of lower grades from when I screwed around my first year of college back in 2009. My college algebra is already an A, so I don't need to replace that one. Thanks to anyone who sees and responds!

Hi everyone! I know that no one is probably still active on this post, but I have a question. I currently have all of my pre-reqs and I'm so happy with my grades other than a C+ in Anatomy one...I received a 79.85. Since I go to USF the advisor told me that some students retake a course at a different school (in my case HCC) and hope that they pick the one from the other school. Has anyone tried this or know anyone who was successful in this? Also, does anyone know what a 4 on an AP exam transfers over to? I'm pretty sure it just shows with no grade since it was an AP course. Someone please help!

Also, does anyone know if HCC honors grade forgiveness from another school? Considering requesting grade forgiveness and taking the course over the summer..

I just submitted my application for the Fall semester. I'm hoping all goes well. How many books and how much are you selling them for?

If anyone is still active on this, I was wondering what the new schedule looks like now that its more days and summers included. I was hoping to work at a hospital while going to school to gain experience and reinforce things learned, plus to help me pay for child care lol. But before I apply for work (I've already applied to the fall '18 nursing program) i'm trying to see if its even plausible with the new structure. aaaand to the person selling books above, how much and are they still the required texts? oh and is the program still the same length of time?

Hello! So I am pretty sure (not 100%) the new curriculum is 2 days in class, with 3 total classes ( if nights it's usually 3 days starting at 5pm) and one clinical day (time varies per location).

Plenty of people still work full time. It's just hard.

If you get financial aid there is a WiNGs program that can help with child care, books, or tuition.

Also, if you don't have a medical background once you finish your first semester you can apply as a patient care tech at various hospitals in the area.

Hi. Advice please, I will be ending the semester this week. I have 6 As, 2Cs and 1 B. Should I still apply or take another math class to boost my C.

Hi. Can I ask how you did this semester?

So what's your pre-req GPA? I'd calculate it but I don't know if they're all 3 credits or not.

It never hurts to apply. I mean the sooner you get in the better in my opinion.

@jmcm1025 thank you. I'm still going to apply. I hope I get in.

My pre-req gpa right now is 3.4 but I'm waiting on my grades for this semester.
