Anybody applying ...? =)
Hi!! Im applying too!
Im a transfer student from Hawaii so I am a little worried that my transcripts will be misread? I have taken A&P twice at two different colleges, so I really hope that they see that and take the higher score. A vs. C. Plus does anyone know what math they will look at? The highest level, the best grade etc. I have the required math plus higher math, I have a C in basic math but A's in college algebra, trig and Calc. I started college way too young (17) and just messed around, now Im more mature and dedicated. I hope it doesn't bite me in the bum. Anyway, Im pretty excited. Im going to send my application in pretty soon so I don't have to worry about it during the holidays.

I can't really help with the rejection letter...I don't remember seeing anything about it on the other forums, but I could have been so excited about the information that I just forgot I read about it.
I can help with the transcript thing though...sort of. A&P, you've taken it a total of two times, but received a C and an A? No clue on how they'll deal with that because you aren't supposed to be allowed to take a course again that you've received a C or better in. I would go talk to an advisor to see how they'll handle that so you know what to expect. As far as math goes, they'll look at college algebra and higher math classes that you've taken and take the highest grade. So you should be set in the math department! :) Good luck!!

Hi k.2012
Do you know where you read about not taking a course over again? In the health science information it just says they will dock your GPA if you take it more than 3 times. I hope I didnt miss something. Do you have a link for that?
Thanks
If you receive a C in a class at HCC you cannot retake that class at HCC, because C is passing. The only thing I found that kinda referred to it in the catalog was this:
For courses taken at accredited institutions, transfer
credit will be awarded for courses in which a grade of "D"
or better has been earned. Failing grades will be included
when calculating grade point averages.
and
A student is not eligible to attempt credit-byexamination for any courses in which the student is currently enrolled. A student who has completed a course
and earned a grade of "D" or "F" is eligible to repeat it
through credit-by-examination.
I would talk to the advisers to find out which they will look at.

I am applying too, I can't wait! I was supposed to apply to start in January but a bad grade in A&P 2 caused me to have a do-over, so now I'm applying for fall.
