Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
I decided to take my bet back. Because I am one quarter Irish, I am going to go with today :) The luck of the irish right??? Crossing fingers!!!!!!
looks like your quarter Irish luck is working in our favor Britsands! I just got an email too from MG (it's ok to use initials right?) and it says "Letters will be mailed out in the next day" dated yesterday! I'm thinking the earliest of the letters will get in tomorrow if they're mailed out today?

My email was also from MG today and she said to keep checking the mail...so I'm thinking they were definitely mailed out today. How long do you think it will take to get to Bradenton? I would think that it could arrive the same day as those of you in Tampa, but might be a day later? I know nothing about the mail system.

i think if they mailed them out today in the morning some ppl should be getting theirs tomorrow even. i've gotten letters from SPC's office in seminole that took 1 day to deliver to my old apt in tampa. is that roughly the same distance as tampa-->bradenton? if so you might get yours on friday too! oh post office, don't fail us tomorrow...

Let's see, Bradenton is South of Palmetto, which is South of St. Pete, which is South of Tampa.... I'm hoping you're right and it will arrive in my mailbox today. I just want to know and to get started on studying OR get started on the appeal process because they miscalculated my grades!
If the locals receive their letters today, I would think Miami would be tomorrow at the latest.
As SOON as you guys get your letters, you MUST post!!! I wish we knew what the floor was (lowest GPA accepted) so we can have a clue now. I think today/tomorrow's wait is going to kill me!
Also what time does your mailman arrive? I think I'm the last stop... He drops off our mail around 4:15ish. Ugh!!!
I just got on here and saw the recent posts!! I just woke up fron a dream that i got my acceptance letter today.... hopefully its a preminition of the future!!!!
What an awesome dream!!! I woke up to my 2 1/2 year old crying at 12:30 AM. Poor little guy. I think he was having a bad dream. He never wakes up upset and nothing was hurting him. He didn't want me to leave him and each time I tried to sneak out, he said "don't leave me mommy."
Well, now I'm tired and stressed out about these letters. I was reading back on the fall of 2010 forum and there was a girl who had the exact same grades as me and the used her lower level math in the calculations. She had to go through the appeal process. PLEASE LORD, do not make me do that!!
I think today will be the day we are getting them!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!! It is finally here guys! Hopefully all of our hard work is going to pay off!! I will cross my fingers for all of us!!! I'M FREAKING OUT! I guess I am going to sit by mailbox for a few hours today, she never comes at the same time. ugh
While reading through previous forums, I noted that the letters were received the day after they were mailed. I'm thinking they were mailed either yesterday or the day before. We will hear something today. I'm on my planning period and should be working on my lesson plans... instead, I'm sitting hear refreshing my window waiting for one of you to say "I was accepted!!!"
Could the clock be moving any slower?

I am doing the same!!! Lol I was even contemplating going to the post office and seeing if i can get my mail before the mail lady takes it. I dont think that is possible though.... dang.
