Having a CNA cert is a requirement to get into most programs in my state.
I don't know if it will help you get into nursing school or not, but working as a CNA will definitely help you during nursing school and your job search after you graduate.
having a cna for pre-nursing isn't a requirment in my state

In Nevada it depends on the school you are applying to. I applied to two nursing schools and it did give me a couple of extra points for both of them. Also at times the CNA experience will make nursing school easier, just do not get over confident.
