I have been in the valley for a year and am just now starting to consult in the healthcare industry. Is it a common practice for an RN to get a sign on bonus?

It depends on the hospital and what unit you would be working on.

Sign on bonuses usually require long term commitment. Make sure you are willing to make the sacrifice and they are the place you are willing to stay.
I am currently doing placements.
The facility is long term care
