i,m a RN from Germany

i have the NCLEX since March 2004

i have the Visa Screen Certificate since August 15 2004

TSE ok.

TOEFL and TWE ok.

i have the Ohio RN license !

and i have a problem , i started my process with one agency in Florida

in the beginning of September 2003.:o (15 months ago)

My petition for the I-140 is not filed yet, the reason for that was the huge backlog in Texas. In August 2004 the Agency said to me, they will open an

office in Vermont jurisdiction ( due to the short backlog ) in order to speed up the process for the petition.

but nothing happened until now, they only extend the information from one month to the next, first they said they will open in December , now in January and in January i guess in March and however, so ,i dont trust them any more now....

Do you have any suggestion what i can do from now on , because i acctualy meet all requirements to work as a RN in U.S.

I don,t want loose more time with them !!!!

My idea is, if i can find a Job in Vermont Jurisdiction, does not matter where

i only want that my process will finaly start . do you have any suggestion where and how i can start the procedure ?

Thank you very much !

What type of experience do you have and how many years? Are these areas where you already have expereience or would like it?

hi suzanne

yes, this are the areas i allready have the experiance, i have a 2 year extended and certified diploma for Operating Room Nurse.

generally i have around 17 years experiance as a nurse in Germany in a big

Hospital in Munich.

i have not a lot experiance in trauma /orthopedic surgery. i ,m more experianced in visceral surgery, and gynecology OR .

But i,m also interested for example in plastic surgery

I`ve been working for one year on a bonemarrow transplant ward ,another

seven years on a neurology ward, vascular surgery ward for a while.

i have no experiance in Emergency Room and intensive care i did only in training.

do you have any suggestions,? off course i would like to improve .

Give me a few days to put on my thinking cap and I will get back to you. I am in the process of moving today, and my brain is over-saturated at the moment.

Why are you writing the CGFNS exam? You can easily just write NCLEX for NY, and then endorse if MA wouldn't let you write it directly. The CGFNS exam is "a pain" for most nurses to take and most states do not actually require the exam, just the credentials evaluation.

And remember that the agencies do not give their services for free, they will be taking a cut of your salary one way or another.

Hi Suzanne!

Do you think, that would be possible? But I don`t know something about that process!

Is it possible to register for NCLEX directly without credit evaluation or how does it works? I always thougt, CGFNS is the only way for MA? Is there another way?

Hopefully,
