Hi, is there any nurse from Uzbekistan or CIS??

Published

If yes, please help me because i need some advice..

What is it that you need advise on? There are many people here who may not be from Uzbekistan or the commonwealth of Independent States but may be able to help you.

Thanks. Well I'm trying to find someone from my country because there's likely more probability of such people to have same problem in their time..

ok, I'm a male nurse who has diploma of both nurse and general practitioner in medicine. I knew that taking usmle would be difficult so after graduation from med school i also studied for one year in nursing program.(1 year because in school of nursing they accepted most of my hours from med school, and i hadn't had diploma of GP i would study 2 years). so i was wandering if there is any other person who had/has problems like mine, i'm saying problems because cgfns does not accept diploma from nursing program which is less than 2 years, and i studied 1 YEAR.

thanks again

A lot I should image will depend on what your transcripts state. if they have taken into account any previous stuff like what you did in medical school.

Have you tried getting CES report and see what it comes back with?

Hello. i am from Uzbekistan. I understand your situtation but I think with 1 year of education of nursing CGFNS will not accept this diploma. Better to ask them directly by mail or phone.

Would that one year of education as a nurse be equivalent to the LVN/LPN in the States?

Hi, actually this is what i wanted to figure out. even i studied for one year all my hours are same as of ordinary students (i've already mentioned that most of the subjects were accepted by school of nursing, and i studied only differing subjects i.e. special nursing subjects) in my diploma, the only difference is duration of study..

thanks!

My daughter took the USMLE Step one and did very well on the test despite all the horror stories she heard. If your goal is to be a doctor why not pursue that route to begin with?
