Hello. I just wanna ask if there are still hiring foreign nurses with USRN license ( state of Illinois) , cgfns certificate and a VisaScreen certificate? I'm hoping to find an employer who can sponsor me in working in USA and file me for a priority date so that I can work as nurse if recession is over soon. hope you can give me an advise. Thanks

Sorry to tell you but there are dozens of other threads on here about nurses looking for Eb3 advice. Basically you just need to get on waiting lists. I did see that exceptions might be made for university hospitals, as far as waiting lists. But they still need to be willing to sponsor you, and there are so many American trained nurses looking for work that it just isn't financially smart to spend all that money to sponsor foreign nurses. Unless you have some exceptional specialization that would make you more desirable. Sorry to burst your bubble but that's just reality right now in this economy. Canada, USA, Australia, all in the same boat. Exception might be to try to work in Quebec in Canada, but you absolutely need French for that...

Hi uRNmyway,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually, I am not looking for Eb3 visa it's rather E3 for Australian Nationals which is Nonimmigrant and renewable every two yearly. Thanks for the information though. And sorry for late response.

Ok, apologize for the misunderstanding. And as I'm not familiar at all with E3, I can't give advice on that. However, doesn't change the current state of employment in the states. I don't know whether you are experienced or not. If so, your chances are a bit better to find work. But most hospitals now ask you on the employment application of you are legally eligible to work in the US. And that doesn't mean 'Yes, after you sponsor me.' (Learned that the hard way. Was getting turned down because I misunderstood the question lol). If you have experience in some elite field, you might find something. Then again, you might end up having to take some horrible job with crap working conditions because they are the only ones who will hire foreign. Lol. Tough world right now.
