So you're saying like in FL (and a few other states), in OR, one can take the NCLEX-RN without a SS#, but will not issue the license until the passing applicant provides the SS#? Oregon will not require SSN to issue license. That means yes they will release nursing license however, you will certainly need other licensing requirements as mentioned in the board website : http://www.oregon.gov/OSBN/pdfs/form/non-us_rn-lpnexam.pdf

No you donot need SSN for license in Oregon. All you need to do is sign the form that declares you don't have SSN which you will provide when you acquire.

Hello Judy, I am currently chasing for CES myself. Actually, you need to have your Nursing school fill up the forms for CGFNS and must be directly sent to CGFNS by the school. School does the allocation of hours and divides them accordingly. If you have a glance in CGFNS Website: http://www.cgfns.org, CES section, you will figure out what you have to do. With my experience, I would suggest you : Login to CGFNS go to Order status and place order for Academic report /professional report follow the steps, finally credit card prompts will appear. Before you pay, close the tab and go to order status.You will see incomplete status then follow the steps as below : Select the incomplete status >> print documents >> Request for academic Records/Transcripts- CES Nurse>> Print the forms>> you fill up the applicant section and dispatch the form to the school. Generally, school take small fees for the purpose, therefore you make an enquiry to your school for required fees before you dispatch. Here you go, all you need to do is wait ! School does the rest !!! In the mean time before 90 days period of the order expiry, you pay the CES fee. Hope it helps! Good luck ahead Virginepgirl

Being an Australian graduate and living in Australia for over four years now, my suggestions would be: 1) working visa 2) AHPRA registration first and foremost ! 3) As local grads have limited opportunities these days, would better advice regional areas of Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia. 4) Due to strict criteria in Public Hospitals such as : preference to locals, citizens and permanent residents, would rather advise to apply private hospitals and Nursing Homes. 5) Some sort of experience would be preferable even though you are new grad! 6) Please search websites, usually new grad positions are opened online twice yearly roughly around March - May and next November- December. Hello everybody Does anyone know which government and private hospitals are sponsoring for international nursing students recently graduated in Australia? I am a new graduate registered with AHPRA. I have previous 3 and half years of experience working overseas as RN . I desperately need hospital sponsor for permanent residency. Does anyone out there knows the best??
