HfCC waiting list

U.S.A. Michigan

Does anyone know what the average wait list time to get into the nursing program at Henry Ford Community College is? Also what are all the requirements so that I can make sure I have all my ducks in a row. :redbeathe:redbeathe:uhoh3:

See and thats what I am afraid of. I know a lot of people say that the wait won't be that long because people will get in other places and pass and things like that. I still don't think that enough people will pass to get me in within the year!! Hopefully I will see my hard work pay off some time soon!!

I think all those people are full of it. :lol2:

I was put on the wait list 12/21/09. I am number 781 on the list!!!! I figure I will start the program Spring or Fall of 2012! It is insane! Very discouraging! WCCC is no longer accepti ng any new students b/c they are at there max capacity. All my classes are full of nursing students. Something needs to change!!

Good gravy! Say it ain't so! I was planning on starting pre reqs this summer at wccc so this is not good news. Sigh.....

I would still suggest starting your pre req's somewhere this summer. At least you will have a head start! And not mention if later down the road you decide to do a BSN or even an LPN you will have most of the classes that the schools require done. And you can apply to as many schools as you want here and outside of Michigan so don't get discouraged!! I have had to tell myself this several times to keep me from feeling like all the work I am doing is in vain. I am slowly getting burned out from taking classes for almost 2 years straight and working full time so after this semester at least I can breathe that I am on someone's list (HFCC) and then start working on the requirements for the other programs in the area.

Geez! It's like some of you guys sense when I'm in a downer/this won't work mood and somebody posts something to boost me up! I'm thinking I'll take whatever Pre req I can get online to start for the summer. If I can get one at all. Rumor mill suggests than online classes are super tough to get into. Having an unflexible work schedule does not help at all! I'm there until 7 two nights a week, 6 the other then on the 4th day I work 7-2. Oh- Plus 2 sats a month. We'll see, we'll see....

Depends on the school you want to take them at. I have had no problem getting into the HFCC online classes. I make sure I register on the day they open and have gotten all the ones I have wanted.

I have taken a ton of online courses and Tonyas right you just have to register the day they open. You will have no problem if you do that.

I agree. I usually try to register for classes as soon as they become available so I am not left trying to make a schedule out of left overs. Online and science classes are the first to go so u have to be up and ready with course numbers in hand!

I was recently told that I cannot register for my classes online until I have 12 cr hrs - until then I have to physically go to the school. I wonder how this will affect my chances of getting into any of the online classes?

I have never heard of this before. I registered in person this semester just because I was a transfer student who transferred late. I don't think that they can tell you that you can't register online.

Really? Even at wccc? Well, registering online sure would be easier - or so I think!

It is definitely easier. And yes even at WC3. Thats the only way I have registered except for when I first started going there almost two years ago. I'm not sure who told you that but I think that they may have been wrong because I have never heard of that before.

No I do not think that is true. I registered with my friend who was a new student at HFCC and she registered on webadvisor and had no previous credits there. Just make sure you have your sign on and password all ready before it is time to register.
