I wish I had asked. I just spoke w/ Anna and she said my acceptance letter will be in the second batch they send out in April. That's still not a guarantee that I'll get in since they send 70 letters at a time.
That's why I need to know how many they actually take per semester. I would hate to get my hopes up and get postponsed til Winter.
Thank you for reading.

I have been told 200(maybe a little more I don't know the exact #) in fall 80 in winter.

They take 220 each Fall and 60 in the Winter. Included in these numbers are the students who are repeating courses.
And yes, they typically mail out 70 letters per month. Anna Brown is the nursing secretary and she is an excellent resource; you can also call Michelle and Lorraine in the counseling office for updated info about the waiting list.
Good Luck!
So can I then assume that I'm in for sure since I'm definitely in the 2nd batch of 70?
thank you for your responses.

I didn't go on the list till mid December but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that not everyone on the list still wants their spot:) I'd love to start with you in the fall.

You are pretty much guaranteed a spot, but this would be the third batch. I was in the first batch of 70 and I registered for classes on the 14th of March. My girlfriend was in the second batch of 70 and she goes to the informational meeting on the 11th of April, then registers for classes on the 14th. She was placed on the waiting list in May 07. Not everyone that is sent a letter will accept, so they will have to send out a lot more than 220 invitations for fall in order to have a full class. I know how anxious you are TRUST ME!!! As long as you know where you are on the list and you know an invite is coming, you are fine.

If Anna says you're getting a letter, you're getting a letter. She is the Be All, End All. You know how the Wizard of Oz was behind the curtain and pulled all the strings? Anna's that person, only she doesn't end up being fake....she's the gatekeeper. If Anna says the sky is pink, then look at the pretty pink sky.
It doesn't matter which batch you're in; everyone starts at the same time. August!
I still remember the day when I registered - wow. I was in. I had a hard time controlling my emotions....I finally had the spot I wished for what seemed like forever.
Good luck, and enjoy this time.
Thank you for your response. I'll be sure to respect Anna. :bowingpur
Great advice.
Thank you! I am anxious. I just hope I can get the remaining two classes I need done this Spring.

Well, you don't have to deal that much with her once you register this summer. I haven't had to see her at all, either year. She is just someone you don't want to hack off. When you go into the nursing office, other personnel are there to help you, and run interference for Anna (although she's there, behind that partition, listening to every word, LOL. She yelled out something to me once - she didn't like that I turned in an immunization form late- and boy was I surprised when I heard that hollering start. :chair:)
Just be cool until you get in. After that, be unique!!!! :clpty:
Which ones?
I'd like to know that one too! Whichever they are, make sure that you register for them as soon as registration begins. We were informed that the programs that are required for nursing fill even faster than other classes, especially in the spring, for those trying to get required classes in before the program starts.
Are they classes that are required before entry or is it that you just want to take nursing classes during the program?
