Hey everyone,
on Thursday I have an interview for a CNA position at an inpatient/outpatient facility in my city. It's a 70+ bed facility that deals with both mental health and drug issues.
my question is what am I getting myself into?! Lol
i was an aide for a little over three years on an acute surg floor. We did have issues with mental health people and drug seekers but they were not the norm.
i applied for an opening on their Senior behavioral health wing.
What type of things should I look into so I can have a better idea of all this?(researching for the job) What questions should I ask (other than the basic what's the best/worst part of the job?) I currently work in a jail (non medical role) so I have experience talking to people who are violent confused and so on. Granted the response to them will be every different in a hospital than a jail lol
im excited but I am a little worried!
Thank you in advance

Moved to CNA Forum.
will you be able to shadow at the new facility, or ask questions of the staff there, to help you prepare?

I will bet they will ask you questions on how you would handle various situations such as someone being combative, refusal of ADL's, etc.
