Abrazo Healthcare is offering a New Grad Development program for nurses who have passed NCLEX but have not worked professionally as an RN. The RNs hired into this new grad program will be hired as a staff nurse in one of our five facilities upon successful completion of the training program. The program will begin at the end of January and is a 12 to 16 week program depending on area of specialization. The training will include orientation on the nursing floor, in classroom and in a simulation lab. We will have opportunities in Med/ Surg, Telemetry, ICU, Womens and Infants, and Emergency Departments. Come join a growing organization and work for Abrazo!

Registered nurse with current AZ nursing license, BSN preferred. Must have not worked as an RN previously.
CPR certification
Demonstrated organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service delivery skills
Excellent experience leading and facilitating a wide variety of diverse patient groups required
Ability to assess needs, identify problems, explore alternatives and implement solutions
Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with hospital policy and governmental regulations.
Knowledge of basic computer operations and use of word processing software
Ability to use audio/visual equipment, telephone and other clinical equipment for patient teaching

Ah the catch!! Totally seeing this everywhere now. BSN preferred! I wonder if working in LTC as an RN counts as not working ... since they don't seem to count this as experience for acute care? Otherwise it sounds like a great program idea.

Thanks for the link. I had not checked Abrazo in a week or so, so thanks for the heads up. After I applied, about a week later, I got an "on-line interview" from Gallup. It was more or less a personality profile to see your personality type and the kind of work ethics you have. It is timed. Questions no big deal. It took about 20 minutes. I have not heard anything since. I pray I'll hear something after the holidays. This is my only lead besides Banner. Anyone else heard back from them?
