Has anyone taken the HESI from home since COVID? I was curious to know what it was like. I'm trying to schedule a time to take it now through PVVCC.

Thanks ?

Just in case anyone is curious since I didn't get any replies, I took my HESI test today from home. The set up was pretty easy. You "meet" on Google meet and then click to present your screen so they can see everything that you are doing on your screen as well as through the webcam. They give you the link and you take your test. You just have to show your blank pieces of scratch paper. Thats pretty much it.

Hey!

How hard was it, what were you studying tools? Does it take days to schedule it and take it? Do they let you know your score right after you finish?

Thanks.

Hey! I know this post was a while ago, but I was curious, do they need the webcam? I was planning to do mine from home as well, but my webcam doesn't work so I might just skip the hassle and try to take it at GCC if that's the case.

Hi! Scheduling was pretty simple. When I called to schedule mine, they had a pretty open schedule and I was able to pick what day I wanted. I think I called on a Friday and was able to schedule for the following Monday. I would assume it gets harder to schedule the closer it gets to CEP app deadlines though. Times are a little trickier since it's a 4.5 hr test. You pretty much only get a morning or afternoon time.

They do let you know right away. You're able to see your score for each subject right when you submit it. You're able to take them in any order you want.

I didn't think it was too difficult. I used the HESI admission assessment exam review to study. Ordered it from Amazon and it was a pretty good study tool.

Biggest suggestions: study your conversions (oz to ml etc), know your fractions, and brush up on some vocab words.

Yes you do need a webcam. They watch you live while you take it.

Do they let you use a calculator?

Yes, but you have to use the one that’s provided through the HESI exam. You can’t use your own. There is one built into the exam.

Hi, I took the HESI from home last month, it was very easy going.  I screwed up on some easy math (multiplying fractions!), English was no issue, I got an 89 on that.  I will retest in Jan and apply for the NAU CEP.  If I pull A's in the classes I have and get a 90 on the math HESI my points will be 82.69.  I cannot find a thread for this CEP application period...I will probably make one today so if anyone who is applying wants to compare scores we can.

I plan to to apply this next cycle! I'll look out for the post ?
