HESI Exam coming up! What do I need to know??

Published

i'm planning on taking the hesi exam this wednesday... i'm very nervous.. and completly pressured...i need to pass this exam in order to maintain my acceptance for the fall 08 nursing program at my college... i've taken the teas before.. and thought it was alright.. does anyone know if the hesi and the teas are any similar? and what should i expect from the hesi? is there any a&p?... i know the teas barely had any a&p.. and how's the chemistry like.. is it difficult? any balance equations? i have the hesi study guide.. but i'm not sure if i need to study more from other text books... please if you've taken the hesi.. let me know what to expect!!.. thanks a bunch!!! and how many questions are there?

I took the Hesi last year. There are several questions on A&P and I would suggest studying more than just the study guide in that area. The study guide did not help me at all in A&P-- I ended up getting 60 something out of 100. I have to take it again this year so I have been studying out of my A&P textbook. The chemistry part isn't too bad, if I remember correctly---know the periodic table. Otherwise, I thought the rest of the sections were pretty easy. I haven't taken the Teas so I don't know if they are similar but if you type in Hesi exam in the google search of allnurses.com you should get a bunch more info on the Hesi. I hope this helps!
