hi iam looking to get some info on the hesi exam that kaplan/meric college has you take to het into the lvn class. i have the teas book from boston reed lvn prep and was wondering if i could just study from that? also what does the hesi exam cover ? like what does kaplan test you on as far as the subjects/ and what is the percentage you have to get to pas? i know i have alot of questions sorry.....:imbar

The HESI exam covers three sections: basic math (fractions, military time, decimals, roman numerals etc), reading comprehension (purpose of the passage, tone of voice, etc.) and vocabulary (general and some basic medical terms like dorsal (back)).
I used the study guide that Kaplan suggested: "Evolve Reach Testing and Remediation Admission Assessment Exam Review, 2nd Edition by HESI". ISBN: 9781416056355
I'm not sure, but I believe the passing rate required is 70% or 73%.
