HESI A2 TEST TOMORROW

Published

Hey everyone,

I am taking the HESI A2 exam for the first time tomorrow. I'm trying to get accepted into the RN program at my community college. My school only requires the HESI sections: Math, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Reading Comprehension. I have been studying the HESI Admission Assessment Exam Review book 4th edition by Elsevier and using the premium version of the Pocket Prep app to prepare for the exam. I have only been studying on and off for the past three weeks. Any last minute tips? I am so nervous! I have to get at least an 85% on 3 sections and can get an 80% on a 4th section. Thanks everyone ?

In regard to the ratio problems, were they pretty straight-forward? I've been using the pocket prep app and some of the word problems involving ratios have been a bit difficult. I'm just wondering if they're more basic like in the HESI A2 book rather than those in the app?

there weren't a ton of word problems but there were a few. For the most part I felt like it was pretty straight forward, like the book. I ended up with a overall score of 95% on the HESI. If you have anymore questions, let me know :)

LMoore13, thanks for that. The darn Pocket Prep app is driving me nuts. I've read various HESI A2 posts on this site & it seems everybody is saying it's like the book. I understand the book without any issues and the problems there haven't been an issue. The Pocket Prep throws out questions that are nothing like the book and you really have to maneuver things around! This is why it had me worried. I'll continue to go over the book and just use the PP app to quiz me, but take it lightly.

To boot, the Pocket Prep is asking some anatomy questions that I don't even recall ever going over in Anatomy class! It's strange. I guess it's trying to over prepare you, but I just need to focus on basics.

Did you find the Anatomy part pretty general? Again, the pocket prep is asking specifics about brain functions, specific endocrine glands and what they produce, where they are, etc.. Did this section get really in-depth or was it also very general.

I'm really appreciative of you answering these questions. I go in next weekend to take this.

how did your exam go? I never saw this response. I didn't need to take the a&p section for my class
