are you sure you must take the test by tuesday, june 30 for uth spring 2011? i talked to someone at elsevier the other day as i was concerned that none of the july dates were open. they said that they would reopen july 1. i just e-mailed admissions at uth to ask if june 30th is really the deadline. i was planning on taking the hesi a month from now and i am definitely not prepared at this time so this news is a bit alarming! let me know if you all get any answers and i will do the same.

i emailed ut earlier today and this is the response i got.

the hesi exam can be taken at anytime. applicants must submit their scores by the application deadline date of september 1st.

WOW! Thank You for that info! Such a relief.............. We dont have to rush to take the Hesi! Thanks again for the info..........

I am planning to take the hesi a2 test next week and I am very nervous. I am studying off the "Hesi Evolve Reach Admission Assessment" but I haven't heard from anyone whose studied off this book so I just want to study off something else as well.

The lady from Elsevier finally called me back today. She said she could open my window again for a couple of days but suggested I have it opened July 1st because the new dates will be available then and I will only have 2 days to register.

So I decided to stick with this Tuesday.

Sorry for the confusion, I wish everyone at Elsevier were on the same info.

thanks!

What a relief! I got an email from UT Houston this morning saying that the HESI was due by the deadline. I wish everyone was on the same page, too!

My scores were pretty much identical to yours (although my biology and chemistry scores were flipped) and mine were well above the class average.

FYI - my Hesi A2 did NOT have a calculator. I know some schools allow a calculator (built into the software) but mine did not. Luckily I'm good at math and still got a 100%.

I didn't study for the exam and found it to be extremely easy. You'd think something that determines a schooling as hard as nursing school would have an entrance test that wasn't essentially a joke...

uuuhhhggggg, I am so upset. I just took my HESI exam today. I had some REALLY good scores and 1 really bad one. I am going to respectfully disagree about the A&P section being easy and general stuff. I had several questions about the inner ear, which muscles were abductors, which hormores were produced by which glands, completely blanked about aqueous humor. :crying2:

So here they are, the good bad and ugly......

1) Reading Comprehension: 91

2) Meaning-Word Use: 93

3) Conclusions: 92

4) Implications: 93

5) Understanding: 94

6) Grammar: 94

7) Vocabulary & General Knowledge: 98

English Language composite Score: 93.6

8) Biology: 92

9) Chemistry: 88

10) Anatomy & Physiology: 68

Science Composite Score: 82.7

11) Math: 94

Cumulative Score: 90.1

Critical Thinking Score: 900

Vocab section was about 50% medical terms or situations.

Critical thinking was entirely triage

Krispex,

Overall you did really good so dont worry...... You can retake the a and p part again, you still have plenty of time...

For those of you who have taken the test, I have a few questions.

I've heard there's a calculator, please confirm.

Are you able to highlight the passages in the reading comprehension parts?

Do you take breaks after each section, or is the whole test continuous?

Thanks!

Can you please email me the study guide for the Hesi
