Hi, sarjan . . .

In case you have not received a response, I took the HESI today, February 9, 2012, and, yes, a calculator was available on the computer. The testing center also had a limited supply of hand-held calculators avaliable. Further, we were permitted to bring in a non-graphing calculator of our own. I would recommend bringing your own non-graphing calculator (I feel they are easier to use than the one on the computer, and you'll be familiar with the 'feel' of your own calculator).

As for the reading comprehension section, no, you cannot highlight the passages in any way. The passages were numerous (~8) and relatively short (3-4 paragraphs). The passages appear in a separate window, which we had to click and drag around to view the questions about the passage. It was a slight nuisance but nothing too 'debilitating.'

Yes, you can take a break after each section--and even take the sections in the order of your preference. We were allotted three hours to take the test--so you had to complete all sections of the test (and fit in any breaks) in that window. I felt there was ample time to take the test. I generally move quickly through tests; I think I took only 100 of the 180 minutes allowed.

I hope this helps. Good luck!!

Hey guys! I also did poorly on Conclusions for the HESI exam. Does anyone have any tips on how to improve my low score? Thanks!

So I'm taking the Hesi soon and I was wondering if anyone would send me a review. I'm so nervous and need all the help I can get.

Hello, I am taking the Hesi in two weeks, and would love any information for the exam. I want to do well just like most of the people on this forum. What are some words that showed up on the Hesi vocab section? On the math section, were there a lot of word problems? thanks for your help jay

hi:)

im taking my hesi exam tomorrow! im very nervous and i just to want to know if there is a physics section in this exam, because there is one on the review!!

thanks

hi! i was reading through some of these comments to see what to expect on the test! you didnt have to take the physics section right? that is what i am most worried about.

thanks you:)

Hey Everyone I'm new to this website so forgive me if I mess up! I'm applying to the UT nursing school @ Houston And I just ordered the Admission Assessment Exam Review E-Book, 3rd Edition book bc I was told this book is a good study guide for the Hesi A2 entrance exam. Is the right?? Thanks for the help!

Okay guys, I am freaking out I need some advice…

I just finished taking the HESI and as I feared, I didn't do well on the Anatomy section. I am applying to University of Texas health science Center at Houston and they require a minimum of 75 and I scored a 76!! I took anatomy one about 10 years ago and I haven't taken anatomy two. I studied an a&p book and the study guide but focused on the nitty gritty details. I can tell you all about hormones and glands and the processes of fertilization and respiration and digestion but I missed stupid questions on basic parts of the body.

Other scores are as follows:

Reading comp 88%

Grammar 94%

Vocabulary 94%

Math 98%

I took personality styles and learning styles

950 on critical thinking....

I wonder if I should retake just to boost my a&p scores or take my chances and submit as is...

Suggestions?

Hey guys, I'm preparing for HESI A2 and I need some insight on the A&P section.
