i'm a little worried about my chances of getting into a nursing program, i was thinking of doing an accelerated bsn or just the traditional, and so i'm going to post my stats in hopes that u guys will tell me what u think....
just graduated from a uc with a biology degree (bs) and unfortunately a 2.8 cum gpa. worried because i was reading some programs look at your last 90 quarter/60 semester units and in this units i have a d (genetics) and a c- (physics 1) that i never bothered re-taking...i know these aren't nursing pre reqs but they are still failing grades....jr year was a really low point grade wise bc of the physics/ochem combo i guess, but u can definitely see a rise in the grades the year after that....
of the pre reqs so far i've done the gen chem (2 a's, 1 b+), anatomy (a), physiology (a).
what do u guys think? do i stand a chance? where should i apply (anywhere in ca, perferable northern)?
thanks a lot, i appreciate any and all advice! : )

Congratulations on your graduation!
I also have a ridiculously low GPA because of my own screw ups in life, but I worked hard for my pre-reqs and was told that those are what are generally looked at.
Just keep trucking, and if you have the time and inclination to re-take courses, then do so. :) All the best!
