Hi,
I finished prereq's for starting a fall 2011 rural program in my area. School I am going through is on the other side of the state, so all communication is off the web site, or emailing. Scheduled for the TEAS 2 weeks ago-got bronchitis and could not go-fever 102. Rescheduled next available date (today 6/1). Received an email from a higher-up nurse at the college saying "do well on the TEAS today, as we have decided no more testing after today. " I was shocked as noboby, my advisor (who is not available too often) ever mentioned a cut off date, nor does their website. The web site does say a student is allowed 2 opportunities to take the TEAS though. I scored fine in reading, science, english and critical thinking-2% short in math. I have worked for 1.5 years on prereq's and want to retake the math. Any ideas on how to help this woman to allow me a retest? If they won't allow it, I am screwed, as I am a single mom who lives in a rural area with kids-can't go to a college, but need the rural program. Thank you for any ideas. I am desperate.!

Since you did not take it the first time, I don't think that would count as one of your attempts. (Not sure though, so you would need to verify with the school) If it doesn't count as an attempt, ask if you can take it at another location. I know it may be a pain for you to travel elsewhere but if the school only offers the test twice a year, then they probably are not going to administer the test to just 1 person so you may have to do it at another location.
