Hi Everyone.
Can anyone offer any in sight in regards to PSB exam for UPMC Shadyside? I want to take it in February and am extremely nervous. For the Fall '08 part time course.
I have been out of school so long, I've got myself all stressed out. I did purchase 2 of the recommended study books, but I feel like I'm missing something.
I really want this and am afraid of messing up. ( can't afford to wait for another year to start classes. Really want to start this fall!!)
I would appreciate whatever information and help you could offer! Thanks!

Hello,
I took the exam last year and did fine. I purchased the Nursing School and Allied Health Entrance Exam book by Arco and I looked at everything not just the nursing school section. The allied health section has good questions in it that I felt were helpful on the exam. Science will probably your toughest section unless you feel comfortable, but either way you should do fine. Just look at it a little everyday until the test and you will do great.

Hi,
is anyone familiar with LaSalle BSN Achieve Program? If so what are the pros/cons of the school.
And someone mentioned that starting salaries for nurses in Philadelpia are mid-to upper 20's...is that accurate?

Why would you start a thread in someone else's thread?
Sorry, posted in the wrong area...I think i posted in this area b/c oI noticed PA nurses chatting about schools...and I live in Pennslyvania...mistakes do happen!!!
so instead of sounding accusatory, maybe you could try a softer approach!!!
I meant no offense to you, just simply asking a question.
I like to use the serach feature unless it can't give me the answer I'm looking for.
Good luck in your search.

Hi, I took the PSB test for Shadyside at the end of Dec. Im also applying for the fall semester, but for the full-time program. It was alot easier than I thought it would be, and if you study out of the books they reccomended (those are the ones I bought as well) you should do fine. The english and math sections are very general, but the science is a little in-depth, spend most of your studying time on that part.
