TIPS ON GETTING A JOB?

Hello everyone!

I'm sure you guys have gone through the path of being an entry level nurse. With no experience as a nurse...how to I nail an interview? I need help. I want a job, but I haven't been lucky on getting a response. I've had at least 14-15 applications (by person and online). So far, I've only had electronic responses of "Thank you" and "Will contact if considered...blah."

Tips anyone? To all the HRs, what do you expect from an Entry Level nurse?

Thank you!

Genuine compassion to patients. Before you answer behavioral questions, think first. You may google behavioral questions- Its a lot there!

Goodluck!

Join the club! Same here too! I did actually get an interview an interview and will find out this week. I am up against those who have experience as a nurse, I am fresh out of school. It is for a doctor's office, and I was a medical assistant for 8+ years they are nursing home nurses. Maybe that will help me.

Try to practice at home.. or to your friend. practice make perfect. Study the mission vision of the hospital or the LTC you're trying to apply. answer short and brief but very meaningful and educated. try to avoid "hmmm" "ahhh" pauses during interview. talk to them in eye to eye contact. smile while answering their questions. be active and listen carefully to the questions. and dress for success! :)
