Hello......
so due to certain life changes and the delay in validating my degree, I had completely stopped reviewing or studying for the nclex......and what I remembered and knew about certain topics from clinicals and all I am beginning to forget...even the basics.....I know...I'm dead meat....but now I have no idea where to begin.......
im in sooo scared....I don't even what to open a book to start studying.....what do I do....? I have nclex review books from 2013, are they still up to date?? Any tips?

I think they are still up to date but if I were you I would use the disk from the back of the book. The true key is knowing how to answer the questions. You can know everything in the world but if you don't know how to answer the questions it won't matter. I used the disk and selected study mode and read the rationales, this helped me. I did several live reviews and they didn't help at all, the disk did it for me.

Before I took my test I didn't believe it when people said "just study questions." But in my opinion answering question after question after question is the only and best way to go. The trick to passing the NCLEX is learning how to critically think through the question.
Start answering questions, if you get started and really don't remember anything then consider getting a content review book. Make sure to read the rationale for every single question, even if you got the question right. You need to know and understand why you got the question right or why you got it wrong.

Doing questions questions questions is crucial...............I totally agree. When I started studying I started out by writing down some topics I knew I was weak in and I reviewed them in between doing questions here and there. Just know where you stand with the knowledge base. Make sure to review chapter 5 in the Saunders book if you have it, its about the test taking strategies which I live by. I used these same strategies to pass my Exit HESI as well.
Thank you all!! I've started to answer a bunch of questions In a day, feeling a little better... :)
