The only online LPN program that I know of that is legitimate is in Oregon and one must be living local to the school as in-person clinical lab and clinical rotations are required. Clinical lab is at the school to demonstrate competency in clinical skills. Clinical rotations are at local facilities (LTC, rehab, psych, hospital etc) and must be completed in person.
There is no such thing as an online only LPN program that has no in-person requirements
Why not just start taking the pre-requisite college classes? You can easily take English comp, developmental psychology, sociology, math, history etc online now. A&P and microbiology is often better taken in person.
You can always start with a CNA class a this is required by some professional nursing programs to increase success with nursing fundamentals. The class can be 4weeks to 3 months.

I am a 20 year old mom of one looking to start a LPN program online. Does anyone know of any good online schools that offer this program. Is this a good idea? Has anyone ever done this before?
