hey everyone! my name is becky and i am a first year, first semester nursing student. i really like everything so far, it is tough, but i do like whyat i am learning once i understand it. my question is when does everything become second nature to you? i study for my exams, but after i seem to forget the info and it is hard to remember. for example, we did pharmacology a few weeks ago and now we are learning about hypertension. i new the meds weeks ago, but i forgot everyhting! its overwhelming and i feel like i should know it. i am just scared i wont be able to answer a patients question if they have one for me. :( ahhhh lol does anyone else feel the way i do????

Lol, great response! It will start to fall into place. You will notice small things that become second nature and as your experience increases you will be able to relate former patients to current ones etc. Just get through school and the rest will come, I promise. :)

Don't worry you aren't alone honey!! I am also a first year and I can't tell you how much I have forgotten. Its alot to learn in 2 years which is why nursing school is so challenging.
