Hello to all the nurses !! Congrats for making it through !! Although I need some help. I go to a college that requires you to take the general Education requirements before you apply to a nursing program. My GPA has dropped to 2.77 because of my chemistry lecture and lab. I am taking a chemistry class this semester but i am still not doing good enough. Please help !! Any advice from my fellow seniors !! Are their any courses you believe that can higher your GPA??

you may get more help in the student forum section. Can you try an easy "fluff" class? Good luck!

usually to be accepted into a nursing program "fluff" classes wont help.. my college only considered your GPA on classes that counted towards the degree, but I dont know if the program you want accepted to is the same.
could you retake the Chemisrty class for a better grade?

I would love to but I pay from my pocket and do not have much $$ to do that right now.

nursern2010----I, too, will be attending a college where getting into the "actual nursing classes" depends on your GPA in the "generals"...I, too, am nervous, despite the fact that I carried a 4.0 while in LPN school....14 years ago!! Unfortunately, these schools may graduate folks with 4.0 who know NOTHING about patient care and who went into the nursing field for all the wrong reasons!! Some of the best future RN's are, therefore, cut from the lists of "finalists" and end up seeking their education elsewhere!!! Keep your chin up and keep me posted on how you are doing!!!
