Help!! Scored above national standards but school wants 925 as passing.

you're in my prayers... half my class would have failed at 925. i have nothing to add but study, and study more.

Wow thats insane im in the LPN program well i finished it but for us it was 850 and i still cant pass my exit exam highest ive scored was 780 im taking the test for the 3rd time at the end of this week only 4 people passed in my class with 850 and barely so 925 would be impossible in my opinon

Andy, just curious what happens if you don't pass hesi exit?? At Acc after the third attempt they don't give us a diploma and we have to appeal with the board to sit for Nclex; so in the long run we will be considered a non-graduate.. With lvn license, any insight on how it affects on getting into Rn program or a job??

I took my first Hesi Comprehensive Exam V1 last week using this book:

HESI Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination, 4e: 9781455727520: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com

It is the Hesi Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN. I figured the only way to ace this exam was to get the review book that was written by the NCLEX test maker.

My Hesi score was 964 using this book, only. I also practiced 75+ NCLEX questions per day. Good luck.

May I ask where you got the practice questions that you used? Were they included in this book or separate?

Does everyone usually study for the HESI exit exam or do the colleges want you to take it to see how you do?

Depends on the school. Many schools want students to get 850 or 900 in order to pass their last semester and be eligible to graduate. Many others just make their students take it to see how they do because they feel it helps them get a good grasp of where they stand on NCLEX review.

I do like the in-depth break down that HESI gives, so that when you've missed a question in a section, it generates specific review content based on that question's subject and lets you compile all of it into a packet for self-study. I didn't much enjoy HAVING to get a specific HESI exit score in order to graduate, but that stress is behind me now, just like all the rest of the BS we deal with in nursing school, and I'm only stronger for having done it :).
