Hello! I think I understand the math portion of the question (I could be wrong), but I'm not exactly sure how to apply my answers. Here's an example:
Explain how you would prepare the following from ready-to-use oral nutritional formulas.
1) Prepare 5/8 strength of 8 fl oz of Ensure
How much Ensure? (mL)
How much water? (mL)
For my answers, I got 150 mL and 90 mL. I don't know which is water and which is Ensure. I thought there was always more water than powder--does that go for every reconstitution?
Another example...
Explain how you would prepare the following from ready-to-use Enteral nutritional formuals.
1)Administer 3/4 strength Sustacal 360 mL over 4 h via gastrostomy tube.
How much Suctacal? (mL)
How much water? (mL)
I'm not even really sure what is being asked here.
Thanks so much for your help!
