I have come up with 3 nursing wellness diagnosis for my client and family, and am confused as what to related them to, my ideas are in brackets, but I am not sure if it is the right idea. My diagnoses are
1) Progressive Transition to extrauterine life.
2) beginning intergration of infant into family (related to relationship with older siblings)
3)increasing confidence in infant care skills. (related to practice of skills)
Help..please!!!

I do not recognize these diagnoses. Because of that I have no taxonomy information to refer to. Therefore, I cannot comment as to whether your related ideas are correct or not. Where did you find these diagnoses?
These are wellness diagnosis using Stoltes framework of (Wellness : Nursing Diagnosis for health promotion).http://books.google.ca/books?id=Ra5a-gE5mi8C&pg=PA21&lpg=PA21&dq=wellness+diagnosis&source=web&ots=W7L8eN_9At&sig=SRB-tnLfDsAnCrfbxbIkcdBjQuU&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=2&ct=result#PPA30,M1
If you got these diagnoses from this book, then based on what I read about Beginning Attainment of Maternal Role, it describes the manifestations very clearly. Since the book is about wellness, I would imagine that the etiology of wellness, which is what the related factor is, is probably discussed quite a bit at the beginning of the book. See pages 8 and 9 of the book. I have always put "desire to improve" as a related factor with any of the wellness diagnoses because that is the focus of any of them--a desire to improve. That is what my care plan books have always suggested. I would word the diagnoses
[*]Increasing Confidence in Infant Care Skills (related to practice of skills) R/T desire to improve infant care AEB [assessment evidence]
Thanks so much for your help.
All makes sense...
