i am a first year nursing student. i need to come up with a nursing diagnosis for chronic hypotension and end-stage renal disease (esrd). can someone help me with this. thanks for your time.

:nono:

Do you think we should be helping nursing students with their homework? :nono:

Especially since the didn't know something as easy as that?:trout:

No, let's just throw her to the dogs. Umm, yummy, another colleague is eaten up. Keep 'em comin'. :madface::angryfire:nono:

Kidrn911, I guess you have never needed help or encouragement, direction or friendship. You were born knowing everything. And as a student, you always knew it all and got your hand in the air sooner than everybody else to impress your teachers. And you're ready to let a friend sink before you'd throw them a life preserver.

What in the world is wrong with helping this student???? :o:uhoh3::uhoh21::o

BTW, what is your Nursing DX for the described condition?

For the student - something about decreased circulation r/t ESRD?

Not sure but can your school librarian help you? Or your teacher or classmates? :welcome::balloons:

I'm sorry if it appeared I had an attitude. I don't think you were implying it, just sorry if I came across that way. Nevertheless, I would think it would be easy for a board like this to be used to help students not to actually do the work and look up the answers and just ask for it here. I am not saying that this person was doing that. I am just saying it would be easy to use this board as an easy way to get the answers without working for it. Once again sorry for any offense

Some people see everything in a negative light. No matter how uncertain it is that the issue is actually negative, no matter how sincere the query, some people just are so miserably unhappy in their own hard lives that they read into the actions or words of others the anger and bitterness they have in their own pained and jealous hearts. :o

Thank you for being big enough to apologize,Kidrn911.

I made a similar comment last year when a student asked for help and nearly got fileted for my "attitude".

Oh, well, today's a new day. :uhoh3::o:idea:

I respond to as many questions on care plans and nursing diagnoses as I can find. I have been doing care plans and nursing diagnoses for a long time. If people do not know the process that goes into it, then they don't get the right nursing diagnoses out of it--and these student's grades depend on getting that process correct. I can pretty much tell from the way a person words their questions or gives an answer what their degree of understanding of the process is. There is a systematic way to picking nursing diagnoses. Some students just have difficulty understanding it. I have been working toward offering alternative explanations that students might better understand.

I'm just asking that rather than scold someone because they are asking for help (and their requests are legitimate 99 out of 100 times), please refer them to the Nursing Student Assistance Forum, the General Nursing Student Discussion Forum or ask a moderator to move the thread, so I and others will see their question more readily. Thank you.
