Hello everyone! I'm moving to albuqueque,NM in may. I'm a new LPN,

graduated in 05, have yet to work as an LPN due to my husband's navy career. However we are moving to NM in may for 3 yrs. I'm excited to work but nervous about the applying process since I have no experience as a nurse. I really want a job as soon as possible. Any information on the hospitals & long term care facilitys in the area? Also any information on the applying process & might I be able to apply online for any place. Any help apprecaited !

There will be a job fair in Albuquerque on the 21st of April from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Convention Center at 15 Hotel Circle, NE. It is near I-40 and Eubank Blvd. This is sponsored by the New Mexico Board of Nurses. The advertisement also states that there will be 30 vendors present.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Thread,

Your going on to get your RN right?

Your best bet is to find a great mentoring program at Mesilla Valley. They will ease you into a survey program allowing you to train in med surg and about 4 specialty areas- you would never guess what your favorite area of the Hospital is- E.R. P.I.C.U Cardiac Care, Ortho, Check them all out and good luck. Thank your husband for serving his country for us all. God Bless..... VFely rn (Bug)

I work at Presbyterian hospital. We do have LPN's but I think they have been grandfathered in. You could check out the web site and see if there are any postings for LPN's (http://www.phs.org) you can also apply on line that's what I did. My hubby is USAF, so I have been in your boat. I moved here right after RN school with no experience and got a job in L&D right away.

Good luck
