So, I finally got an interview with a hospital!! It's a phone interview, so I am a bit nervous. Has anyone else ever gone through a phone interview? What did they ask? I really need to be on point...I am a new graduate and in desperate need of a job!!
I would appreciate any help!
Has anyone specifically interviewed with Bassett Medical Center and get hired?
Any tips?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!
Wow that's some difficult questions. I don't know why its bad if I applied to city hospitals. Why wouldn't you if you live in the city? I have no idea what to say to the conflict with a coworker. I had a small conflict but it was resolved fine. I guess I'll tell her about that. Any other questions? Like strengths or weaknesses? Or anything else? I feel like you did a good job on the interview since she told you to call her back if you hadn't heard back in a week. How long did the entire interview last? And was Christine Young nice? Thank you for all the information!Sent you a pm!

Yes she was nice. It was difficult because I didn't expect those type of questions, but at least I was able to come up with a response and didn't completely blank! She didn't ask about strengths or weaknesses. It was a short interview, about 20mins max, I asked more questions than she did. I was hoping that was a positive sign too- that she asked me to call her if I didn't hear back in a week but I'm not sure...When is you interview?

My interview is tomorrow at 9AM. It definitely is a positive sign!!
How did your interview go?? Did she invite you for a second interview?
HI! Sorry for it taking me so long, I had a lot of things to do today! Haha.
So, yes! At the end of our phone conversation, she invited me up to Cooperstown for two separate interviews--one for the medical floor and one for the surgical floor! Those appointments are scheduled for October 11th at 9AM.
The interview questions she gave me were different from what she asked you.
She asked me:
Why do you want to relocate to Cooperstown?
Tell me about a time you went above and beyond for a patient.
Tell me about a difficult patient and how you handled him/her.
What are your long and short term goals?
You do realize how different the life is up here than downstate?
When would you be able to relocate?
How did you like your clinicals?
If offered a position, in which field would you like to start?
She was very nice and I was surprised that she asked me for a second interview right then and there!
