Help with Nursing Diagnosis for Wilm's Tumor

Published

Hi, I am having trouble coming up with the 3 top NDX's for Wilm's Tumor. The ones that I have don't seem like they would be the top three....any help would be greatly appreciated.

#1 anxiety

#2 risk for injury

#3 family processes, interrupted

Thanks Daytonite, you were exactly who I was hoping would respond.:yeah:..it's for a powerpoint presentation, and we have to do the top 3 nursing diagnosis, and i think that is why i am having such a hard time answering, because I don't have any other things to go on....just the medical diagnosis.....thanks for your response.

If you are doing a presentation for your class I highly suggest you follow the steps of the nursing process to organize and present this. It will be more professional and get you your "A". I already gave you the guidance for Step #1, Assessment. Step #2 is the problem recognition and diagnosing and you can pick the top 3 diagnoses from those. Your interventions and goals, step #3, will be based on the abnormal data that supports those top 3 diagnoses you pick. Since this is primarily a pediatric problem don't forget to touch a little on developmental milestones and how long term treatment can affect growth and development of a child. Then go pick up your "A".
